Wedding card Stampin' Up & Silhouette Cameo

Hello Friends,

It's not a bit like me but I've had a little panic - lol !!!

I remembered that we were invited to a wedding in Paris a little while ago, which is coming up very soon and felt a little panic coming on as I hadn't made the lovely couple a card.

I used my Silhouette Cameo and some of my old Stampin' Up supplies to make this card......

I have seen crafters lately using white pencils to colour onto kraft coloured card stock, so I thought I'd give that a go.  I wish I'd sharpened my pencil for the dashed lines and for the drawing the white around the hearts now I'm looking at the photo of this card.  In real life it looks so much better and neater some how!

Enjoy your day and I hope you have some time to craft with your Silhouette Cameo soon too!

Silhouette Cameo - Print and Cut

Hello friends,

I've been away for a few days - I do miss my stash when I'm away!  I don't craft every day, but I do like to look at my crafting stash each day ;) it makes me happy!

Whilst away I met someone I hadn't seen in years it was really nice to see her - she heard me before she recognised me ...... whoops!  She told me it was her father's 80th birthday very soon and I thought I'd send him a little card just to send him my very best wishes on his special day.

This is the card.......

I used a print and cut file from the Silhouette store called "black and white frame 1" as the background, which I printed, cut and then coloured using Old Olive ink.  I decided to cut out the square in the middle using my craft knife and I designed and cut the black centre piece on my Silhouette Cameo to fit perfectly.  The added leaves design is also from the Silhouette store called "leaf"!

I hope it will help make his special day.

Hope you find some time to craft on your Silhouette Cameo soon.

Silhouette Cameo so sorry card - Mojo Monday 253

Hello Friends,

I've been a little pre-occupied with things lately and with one thing and another on my mind I forgot all about my hair cut appointment today - whoops!  My poor hairdresser came and I was out shopping.

I made her this card to apologise and have popped it through her door..........

When I need to make a card quickly I usually go and check out the challenge blogs, it takes away the stress of trying to come up with a design or a colour!

This layout is the current challenge on the Mojo Monday site.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the flowers and the papers are from a little Prima Pad called Nature Garden.

I hope it gives you inspiration today, leave me a comment and let me know if you like it.

Have a great day.

Silhouette Cameo Congratulations Card

Hello Friends,

As I said yesterday, I have been playing around with the Silhouette Studio software, manipulating images that  I have downloaded.

The base of this card was actually cut using a Sizzix die on my Vagabond but the main feature of the card was made using my Silhouette Cameo.

I used part of the downloaded image called "label frame tag".  I ungrouped it and used the centre parts with an added star image.  It is easy to manipulate an image this way.  There are two layers cut with the star in the same place on each and a smaller star cut, which I centred.  You can't see it on the photo, but there is an acetate layer between the white and Concord Crush (Stampin Up card stock) layers.

I will be entering this card into the CAS-ual Fridays challenge, check it out here.

I hope you have time to craft and enter this challenge.

Thanks for popping by.

Less is more Challenge #79 - Cameo Ribbon Weaving

Hello Friends,

This is my second post of the day.........I got spurred on by this weeks Less is More Challenge to finish something I'd been trying out on my Cameo Silhouette - Ribbon Weaving.  The theme this week is "Blue and Green".   I, in fact, love this colour combination and have never understood the saying where it is said they shouldn't be seen!

We have a new HobbyCraft store just opened in Oxford and when browsing around this weekend I spotted some ribbon weaving kits which got me thinking about trying to make some ribbon weaving patterns on my Silhouette Studio software.

This is a card I made using one of the patterns I've been working on......

I do like a challenge and believe me it was!  Getting a good size of semi circle cut out in order to thread the ribbon and get it to cut at a great angle to be able to sew a neat cross was tricky but now I've saved the file it could be used over and over.

Hope you like my card.

Thanks for popping by my blog today.

Pretty Silhouette Cameo Heart Card

Hello Friends,

I have been busy with my family over the last few days and haven't had much time to craft.  I have been messing about with the Silhouette Studio software though, trying to make a few things, which hopefully I will sort and you will be able to see very soon.

In the meantime, this is a very simple card but I think it is so pretty, just as it is......

I was tempted to add some faux stitching or some corner embellishments but decided to keep it just plain and simple.

I hope you like it.

I used a Silhouette download for the heart called "heart", some old Pretty in Pink Stampin' Up ribbon and card stock for the mat, some Bazzill white card stock and some silver mirror card I'd had for a very long time.

Top tip.....if you download this heart to use, start and finish in the middle of the heart at the top!

Hope you find some time to craft today.

Thanks for popping by.

Manipulating Silhouette Studio images - female birthday card

Hello Friends,

When making the card I showed yesterday, I realised I'd got a great stencil left when I took the daisies off the Silhouette Cameo mat.  I went back in to the Silhouette Studio file I'd made to make the card and was able to make an "offset" image of the daisies.  I fed the same piece of paper back into my Cameo and cut the new offset outline of the daisies, that I used here, out of the scraps.  I used the original cut out scrap as a stencil, which I chalked through.

I manipulated the border image by using it as it came for the bottom border.  For the top border I welded two together and reduced the size, so that the circles were half the size but the same length.

I couldn't believe that I hadn't yet download an oval shape, so I went into the Silhouette America store and downloaded a file called "happy holidays' card kit", as it had a couple of ovals, a greeting, a very fancy border and a card - all of which can be ungrouped and used separately.

I manipulated the oval from that card kit, making another "offset" for the mat.

The inspiration came from this weeks Less is More challenge, you will see my card there.

I used Stampin' up Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry card stock to make this card.

Let's hope you get some time today to manipulate a Silhouette Cameo image or two!

Thanks for popping by.

Making paper out of Silhouette patterns with my Cameo

Hello Friends,

I've been playing around with this weeks free shape over at the Silhouette store.  I decided not to cut it out but instead to colour it to make a print and cut file for part of my card design......

The inspiration for the colours came from Make my Monday.  I uploaded the colours into my Silhouette Studio program and was able to grab the exact colours from there to make my printed peices.

The inspiration for the card design came from Retro sketches #22.

The patterns were both downloaded from Silhouette America along with one of my favourite flower downloads "daisies".

Even though this is not the best card I've ever made, I will still be entering it into both of the above challenges.  This card was just to practice techniques I learnt a while a go but hadn't used very much.

Let me know what you think.

Hope you have some to craft today with your Silhouette Cameo ;) !
