Hello Friends,
It appears that the video link I posted on my post earlier doesn't seem to want to work with Apple iPads - thanks Peg!
Try this link to see the funny video of my new chair, if you have an Apple!
Hope you've all enjoyed your Christmas.

HAG Capisco Puls Chair - JBL Office Supplies, Oxford
HAPPY CHRISTMAS
Look what Santa bought me.....
I'm such a lucky girl! It fabulous, you can sit on it forwards, backwards or sideways. It rocks like the easiest rocking chair (or locks to keep it still), the seat goes up and down, the back goes up and down and the seat goes forwards and backwards - fabulous engineering and a must for someone with a bad back!
I'd like to say that it took quite some time to find this chair and I drove miles and miles looking for it, only to find it right here in Oxfordshire, 10 minutes from my door!
I've decided to blog about it hoping that if anyone else in Oxfordshire should need/want one of these amazing chairs then they really don't have to leave our county!
Go to THIS link, you will get great service, no lies and a very good price!
Off to take it for a spin around my kitchen - oh the JOY!
Enjoy your day and thanks for popping by my little blog.

Christmas decorations - Silhouette Cameo
Hello Friends,
Just popping in to show you some Christmas decorations I made for the children who came along to Abingdon Quaker Meeting on Sunday....
They were a joy to make, a little fiddly, but an absolute joy. I didn't see the children hang them on the tree, but apparently each child had a moment of thought about someone they were missing this Christmas and mentioned them as they hung their star on the tree. Of course, they were allowed to choose one each to go home with at the end of the Meeting - another JOY for me, as I watched them and their families choose which one would look nice on their own trees.
Wishing all my readers a very happy and peaceful Christmas and thank you for popping by from time to time.

Silhouette Cameo Lessons
Hi Friends,
I'm back today, with a card I've made after looking at this Clever Someday tutorial. I have used the "text to path" feature lots of times but never using a dingbat font. I downloaded the free font and used it to make this card for my DH for Christmas......
I hope you have some time to craft with your Silhouette Cameo soon!

Christmas tags - Silhouette Cameo
I'm back from a little break with my girlies! We spent a few days in Strasbourg wondering around the Christmas markets. Now that I'm back, I'm having to swing right into action with getting the final bits and pieces ready to pop in the post!
Last night I had some friends over for a "make a tag" party. I cut out some tags using my Silhouette Cameo. The tags were all in two parts, the main part and a decorative part. I cut two sets each out for us and put a few bits from my crafty stash, together with some tools in the middle of the table and left everyone to design their own, using just the stash on the table.
We did laugh and giggle, all evening, it did us all good!
Here are my tags.....
The tags shapes were bought from Silhouette America, Design ID #50938.
Must dash, the two envelopes in the top picture need to be posted today!
Happy crafting.

Split Letter Fonts - Silhouette Cameo
Hello again,
I'm back with my second post of the day!
I made this card for a couple who are entering into a Civil Partnership today......
....One of my Silhouette Studio pupils told me all about Split Lettering being "in" at the moment, so I thought I'd give it a go for this card. It was quite fiddly to design, as this was a "Print and Cut" design. I chopped the flourish in a few places to make it fit around the letters nicely.
I wish the couple every happiness.
Happy crafting everyone.

Silhouette Studio & Maja Designs - Vintage Summer Basics
Hello Friends,
I have missed a birthday, one of my friends had a birthday last week and I got so busy that I didn't get to post her card, I do hope that she will forgive me when she finally receives it.....
All the bits on this card were cut on my Silhouette Cameo, I find it so easy to plan my cards this way now, I hardly bother to cut and measure anything any more any other way!
The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up set called "Happiest Birthday Wishes", I use that stamp often, as it seems to be the perfect size for the cards I tend to make.
All the papers are from my 6 x 6 paper pad from Maja Designs called "Vintage Summer Basics".
I hope you like my card today, thanks for popping by.
Happy crafting.

Christmas Crackers - Stampin' Up Envelope Maker
Hello Friends,
I've been going crackers, look.....
....I started to make one, then altered the dimensions and design I had, to make two from one sheet of 12 x 12 paper, the second one being a triangular one and then I got hooked......
One for each of my ladies attending my event tomorrow. I'm sure I was supposed to be busy doing other stuff for tomorrow, but I'm sure they'd all rather have one of these beautiful crackers instead of home baked cakes (I hope)!
Have a great weekend, I hope you have some time to craft.

Hello Friends,
I'm back again already! It's one of my friend's birthdays today so here is a sweet girlie card for her.....
....I've used some stamps that I bought from the charity stamp sale I organised last month, for the Cancer Research shop in Wantage. I was so pleased with them when I decided to purchase them and was even more pleased, with how this card turned out! Happy Birthday Maria, I hope you like your card.

Charity Christmas Card Class - Riding for the Disabled Abingdon
Hello Friends,
I held the charity card making class last night that I donated to Riding for the Disabled - Abingdon group. It was great fun to be crafting with a small group around my dining room table again. It must be getting on for two, if not three years since I had to stop my many sessions like this a month, because of my arms and shoulders giving me jip!
I was nervous, going back to basics with ladies that hadn't ever made a card before but the ladies were so sweet, once they'd worked out the fact that I was a complete control freak (didn't take them long) the evening went by very quickly, new techniques were learned and the process of hand made cards became clear to them.
They learned basic stamping, just inking a stamp and then stamping the image onto a very small card (no pic of that little card), then we went on to stamping with VersaMark and embossing the image with silver embossing powder.............
......we did all the stamping on a mat and then stuck that to the front of a card.
Next they learned how to build a design, using different coloured inks, I bought in the concept of "second impression" stamping on this card.......
.....whoops, when started to clear up this morning, I realised they didn't go home with holly on theirs! They did though like colouring with my Copics, I'm sure if I'd only given them robins and Copics they'd have been happy all night ;)!
The last card they made was all about sponging the outside of patterned paper, die cutting, pricking, matting and layering, stay put knots and of course, glittering, well it is nearly Christmas!.......
Here is a picture of the ladies who enjoyed this charity class.....
I do know the money that was raised by the Silent Auction will be put to great use by RDA Abingdon and it was a pleasure to be part of their fund raising efforts. If anyone would like to donate to this charity, please give me a call or send me an email and I can give you the details.
Now for finishing up that clearing up and putting away my stash......
Thanks for stopping by.
Happy crafting.

Crafting with Carole.....
Hello Friends, Dawn, Tom & Adam
Just got to pop in to tell you that "Crafting with Carole" has become so popular that my neighbours daughters soft toy came round to play in my craft room today - a very special and elderly Piglet! He was joined by my daughters giraffe and I gave them a lesson, let them hold some tools and together we crafted happily! Oh the squeals and the giggles from those toys was a delight and Nanni took some pics......
You see when Nanni, looks after Piglet, she has to make sure that he isn't lonely or bored and here are the photos to prove it!
Hope you too find some nice people or animals to craft with soon.
Love,
Carole

Silhouette Cameo - Get well card
Hello Friends,
One of the wonderful things about making a card using the Silhouette Software is that you can easily re-produce it - differently (if you wish)!
After being inspired by this great class to make the Christmas card I showed earlier, I decided to use the same file to make this Get Well card for my friend who is recovering from an op......
I did change the words, the image and the shape on which the main image is stuck to, but having the sizes all ready and waiting, it was easy to re-write new appropriate words for this card.
I popped onto my Silhouette Crafting Friends FB a short while ago and found someone (Kevin Perry) had made a cut file for a small packet of tissues so without further ado, I downloaded it and made this.....
Wow, I think this guy is clever! I made it to match my card and it will be a little gift for my friend. Here is a photo of the tissues and card together...
Have I told you lately how much I love my Silhouette Cameo????
Happy crafting.

Holiday Card Workshop 2013
Hello Friends,
Monday was Day 1 of the new On-line Card Class. I enjoyed making this card with my Silhouette Cameo & Maja Design papers......
It is a really simple "z" fold card, with the sentiment cut and split between the front and the back. You can see that better on this picture.....
I designed the Christmas tree myself and may just make a few more of these now I have the file saved in my Silhouette Studio software.
Have a happy crafty day and thanks for popping by.

Silhouette Crafting Friends - Card Swap
Hello Friends,
I belong the Silhouette Crafting Friends FB group, we do have a great laugh on there sometimes! One of the ladies has organised a card swap, what a great idea - I thought!
Here is what my swapping partner will receive any day now...
The Christmas tree is a download from the Silhouette on-line store, but the card shape was made by me ;)!
I used the new Envelope Punch Board from Stampin' Up to make an envelope to match!
All the card stock and paper is from Stampin' Up.
If you would like any lessons on the Silhouette Software or any Stampin' Up supplies, just let me know and I'll see what I can do :)!
Happy crafting.

Silhouette Cameo Lesson
Hello Friends,
I taught a one to one Silhouette Cameo lesson yesterday for one of my regular crop ladies, who is considering asking her husband for a Cameo for Christmas.
After covering all the basics on how easy the Silhouette software is to use we made a card using a sketch we found on the internet. This is the card I made using the same sketch after she had left yesterday....
I made it for my neighbour who's birthday it is today. I normally make him a card with a fireworks theme, so this is a change for him this year!
It was all designed in the Silhouette software and cut using the Silhouette Cameo, each piece is perfectly cut, shame it isn't so perfectly lined up.......although I'm sure it was when I made it, shame it doesn't look straight on the photo!
Hope you have time to craft today.
Thanks for popping by.

Mosaic Inspiration with the Silhouette Cameo
Hello Friends,
It's funny sometimes, how we gain inspiration. A friend popped in earlier today and told me about a card she'd seen where you can use up lots of small bits of paper - she told me it was "mosaic" like. I thought no more of it, my hairdresser arrived, who just happens to be friends with one of my neighbours daughters and she told me that my neighbour was celebrating his 70th birthday today, with her.
So, as soon as my hair was cut and she'd gone, I set myself to work with a "mosaic" themed card in mind and came up with this.....
......I'm really really pleased with how it turned out. I used Pool Party & Basic Black card stock from Stampin' Up, together with paper from a new 6 x 6 stack I bought yesterday called Lost & Found - Portobello Road, by My Mind's Eye.
The die cut speech bubbles were cut on my Silhouette Cameo using a freebie from the Silhouette Cameo class that I'm enjoying right now from Studio Calico called Cutting Edge. I love using pens in my Cameo, which is how the writing on the front was done.
Thanks for popping by today.
Happy crafting.

Silhouette Cameo & Maja Design Cards
Hello Friends,
Gosh it really doesn't seem like nearly a fortnight since I last posted a card - I must have been busy!
I have a couple of cards to show you today, inspired by my trip to the countryside on Friday. I had the most wonderful afternoon catching up with a couple of friends in their country kitchens. I don't get out into the countryside much but my trip was lovely, chatting and eating home baked cake was a real treat, life is tough!
So on to my cards for today, I've made them little thank you cards for having me over and baking me cake......
Both cards are made using my very favourite card, Naturals White from Stampin' Up and my very favourite make of paper these days, Maja Designs. The images are download from the Silhouette store and cut using my Silhouette Cameo.
They are perfect for my friends, living right out in the middle of nowhere - or so it seemed to me ;)!
Off to get them in the post!
Hope you have a crafty week.

60th Birthday card - Maja Designs & Stampin' Up
Hello Friends,
It was day three yesterday of the Online Card Class "Insider", I did manage to make my card on time but I didn't have time to post it on here, sometimes cards seem to take ages to make, but the ones that normally take an age to make, are usually worth it!
One of my great friends will be receiving this card, which has a clear acetate window, for her special birthday very soon.......
I've used Maja Design papers again, with Stampin' Up's Morning Meadow stamp set, Pansy Punch and Little Leaves Sizzlits die. The lace is Fabric Tape from Paperchase. The Spellbinders die used was Labels 5.
I hope you have time to craft this weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.

Online Card Classes - Insider, Day 1
Hello Friends,
I'm participating in the latest class from Online Card Classes, which is turning out to be another really inspiring class. We are on Day Three now and I'm already playing "catch-up". Here is the card I've made for day one.......
I've stamped the inside with a repeat of a dot stamp, you can't actually see it but I did mask off a rectangle section first, so there would be a place to write!
I'll be back a little later if I manage to catch up and make my card for Day two!
Happy crafting and thanks for stopping by.

For our nephew, I made a card using the Hero Arts and Sizzix Framelits sets 657782 & 657581, along with Stampin' Up's cloud embossing folder. The kite is made from Shrink Plastic........
and for our niece, I made a centre fold panelled card, the idea was on Splitcoast stampers last week and I wanted to give one a try! The die cuts are all from Sizzix and the stamps, card stock and paper are all from Stampin' Up.......
You can see from this side view how the card is made......

I love the Flower Shop stamp set from Stampin' Up, the matching punch makes it extra easy to make quick and simple cards. Here is just one that I've made.....

Back to a little more crafting today, I think.

Texture Paste - new baby card
Hello Friends,
A few weeks ago I was playing with some home made texture paste. I had some left over, in a small container which had dried out a little bit, but by adding just a few drops of water it was perfectly usable again.
Here is a card and gift tag I made for the proud new parents that live opposite me.....

I can't remember the name or even the company who designed the DSP, but the rest of the products used were from Stampin' Up, apart from the little brass stencil, which I've had for years and years!
Have a great crafty week.

Maja Design - Secret Pocket card
Hello Friends & happy birthday Kim,
It's my daughter's birthday today, so I broke out my best paper!
I'd been eyeing up Maja Design papers for a long time and finally bought some a couple of weeks ago. Buying papers on-line is difficult, we paper lovers prefer to feel and stroke each piece of paper before we buy, which is probably why I took so long to get around to ordering some.
I certainly wasn't disappointed when it arrived, the colours & quality are perfect, take a look at the birthday card I made for my gorgeous daughter, Kim....
It has a secret pocket behind the front section, you can just about make out the scalloped edge at the top of the pocket, on the pink layer, if you look closely at the bottom pic.
The papers are from the Maja Designs "Vintage Spring Basics" & "Sofiero" collections. I used Sahara Sand & Whisper White for the base card from Stampin' Up.
Have a great crafty day and thanks for stopping by.
