Roses in Winter

Its my friends birthday at the weekend and I don't know why it is but I always want to make a "special" card. By that I mean one that I haven't made yet for a class. I have boxes full of cards I have taught, yet I still want to make another!

This card is made using the a retired Stampin' Up set, one I have to admit, I bought and haven't used, I really had to have it before it went.....so it was nice to have a play and I don't feel so bad for buying it now. I have also used what has turned out to be my favourite Sale-A-Bration stamp set Vintage Labels.

Enjoy!

Happy Crafting.

Happiness Always

The last of my "to me from me" Christmas prezzies has arrived. I have wanted a little sewing machine for so long and now I have one. Its only little and very basic but I am not planning to start a new business making evening gowns and wedding dresses - lol!!!

It arrived yesterday morning, delivered by a very nice Royal Mail lady with "MANAGER" written across her back! I suppose someone had to deal with the backlog of parcels that couldn't be delivered due to the snow.

So far I have sewn hems on my "makeshift" black Stampin' Up table cloths, sewn some paper together for a scrapbook page and this sweet little card for you know who (tech guy) for valentines day.

I used a beautiful stamp from the lovely Sale-a-Bration set, Whimsical Words, real read card and ink, a diamond brad from the Pretties Kit and stamped the heart and shrinky with the Medallion stamp.

Have a fab day, carry on crafting.....

Hugs

Stampin' Up Open House

Just when we thought the snow was on its way out, we get a fresh new lot of the stuff!

I am fed up, I was supposed to be going to my lovely downlines card class this afternoon, picking up a two ladies on the way. We are all miserable and missing each other, so I thought I'd update my blog just in case anyone decides to "surf" instead.

I still plan to have my Open House this Friday and Sat, so if you are in the area and want to come along, email me and I'll send you directions.

Here is a taster of what you will see, if you manage to get here:

I hope all those projects brighten your day.

Looking forward to seeing you on either Friday or Saturday.

Happy crafting

Stay in and craft

What a lovely day to stay home and craft! I did of course, run round to two of my elderly neighbours first, just to make sure they were OK. I spent half an hour clearing a path for my neighbour opposite and felt quite good for doing it. Not only did it make me feel good that I had helped but I think being out in the fresh air doing a bit of physical activity always helps you to feel good. I spent half an hour chatting to another elderly neighbour and I am sure he was pleased I popped in.

It was great being outside, I met one of my lovely neighbours, who regularly attends my classes and invited her round to "play" for the afternoon. We had a great chat and made a lovely little gift - a double tic tac holder. It's sharing with others that I really enjoy, and we certainly had a lovely afternoon.

Here are a couple of photos of our sweet little project:

The stamp used is from Whimsical Words, one of the four lovely sets you can have for free if you spend £45 (+p&p) this month or next. I have also used some of the new Speciality Designer Series paper along with my very favourite colour card stock at the moment....Kraft. Here is another card to tempt you using the same products:

Looking forward to seeing many of you for my open house event soon.

Happy crafting and stay warm.

New year, new start for my blog

Hello to you all,

I would like to start by wishing you all a very happy and creative 2010. I myself have been trying to be creative all day, giving my blog a fresh new look! I might not be a technical girl, but I can "surf" the net for help, and of course, I do have my very own "tech guy" right here who will help with a little programming, if I massage his shoulders whilst he does it!

I (ok we!!!) have managed to put in an extra column, where hopefully you will be able to check out the latest Stampin' Up offers and see details of my classes and events.

Tomorrow I hope to get back to putting some projects up so you can see what I've been playing with over the Christmas break.

Thats it for now...............lets see if I can post regularly!!!

Happy crafting
