Silhouette Cameo & Stampin' Up

Hello Friends,

After spending lots of time cutting out the Hydrangea for this card, I decided to stamp the image and convert it into a JPEG so that I could cut it out on my Silhouette Cameo, it worked an absolute treat!

This is a card I made with the waste.......

I sponged through the waste and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the image on top of the sponged area.  I decided not to colour the flower but, I did use some fine glitter, which makes it sparkle nicely.

Hope you find some time to craft today.

Sachet gift holder - Simply Soft - Stampin' Up

Hi Friends,

I've had the most wonderful day, after feeling pretty unwell for the last few weeks, I've pulled myself together knowing that I will be better soon - now I'm only waiting patiently for my name to come up trumps on that NHS waiting list for an op, then I will be back on form - I hope!

I am off out tomorrow, DH is working away and I'm off to do a little crafting with two lovely ladies in the same area, which is just fab ;)!  I've made them a little something (as we do ;) )!........

When we were out and about on Saturday we popped into the shop called "pod",  where I found these....

and thought they would be perfect as a little gift.

Here is a pic of the sachet holders without the sachets inserted...

The two are a little different, I used Stampin' Up glossy card stock and out of absolutely nowhere a little smudge appeared , so it had to be covered on the one in front, no one would ever know as I balanced the sentiment with the three little diamonds ;) !

I used the stamp sets called "Simply Soft" and Baroque Motifs, both by Stampin' Up and used Rich Razzleberry card stock, ink & ribbon.

Thank you for popping by today, enjoy your crafting.

Summer Card Camp 2 - Challenge 2

Hello Friends,

Before this class starts we have a second pre-class challenge.  The first one was to use certain colours, which I thoroughly enjoyed and now, for this challenge those lovely ladies have provided us with a really nice sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch......

The photo isn't great, I've left it a little late in the day to photograph it really, but I think you can see it all well enough.

I really can't wait until the 8th July when this great class begins ;)!  Why don't you join us?

Have a great day and thanks for looking.

Welcome card - Silhouette Cameo & BoBunny stamps

Hello Friends,

I'm back with a more suitable card for my new neighbours!  I really liked the last card I made, but it just didn't feel right for them.

This time, I have based my card on the idea I had for this card and decided to use the same colour combination, so I could add it to the on-line gallery of this class which I can't wait to start!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the scallop circles and my nestabilities to cut out the mat and layers.  For the main image, I stamped onto acetate with black Stazon ink, put Modge Podge on the back and sprinkled on some glitter.  You can see it shine better on this sideways view of the card....
I'm just lovin' a new set of BoBunny stamps, I purchased recently, called Geometric Patterns, they are perfect to add a little something to any background.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have some time to craft too!

Easel Card - New Home

Hello Friends,

Seems that everyone is moving around here!  I've lived here, for what seems, almost forever and had the same neighbours for years and years and now it seems to be all change!  About this time last year we had new neighbours opposite, who are lovely and now a new family has moved in next door but one to them.

To welcome them, I thought I'd make a little card.....

I decided to make another easel card, I seem to go through stages and I'm definitely back into easel cards again.  Here is a better look at the front!
I'm not actually sure it is perfect for the family moving in, apparently they have 2 yr old twins and I'm sure I could have come up with something a little brighter and much more fun, but this will just have to do!  It seems to have taken me as long to make it as it taken them to move all their stuff in!

I decided to use Stampin' Up So Saffron card stock as my base, because I knew it would match the current decor in their new home!  If it had been red or pink, it just would have looked out of place in their lounge!

Thanks for popping in to see what I've made today.

Happy crafting.

A little bit of heaven....

Hello Friends,

I'm back from my little break, I had the most wonderful crafting time and stay with my lovely Stampin' Up friend, Peg (& Gary).  They live in the most idyllic location, in the prettiest cottage with gorgeous grounds.

Driving home I was thinking about my stash and what I had in it to make an appropriate card, which made my drive home much quicker.  This is what I designed in my head and made as soon as I got back.......

I decided their place could be described as "a little bit of heaven", with this in mind, I used my Stampin' Up Cloud embossing folder and stamped a little house in the clouds!

The words were created in the Silhouette Studio Software, which I drew and cut on my Silhouette Cameo.

Thanks for popping in to see my blog today.

Happy crafting.

That's the Ticket - new baby card

Hello Friends,

I am really behind with my card making.....I must have been very busy looking busy again!  I've decided that I'm an expert in looking really busy, not getting all that much done, ever -  but at least I look busy - lol!!!

Yesterday it was great catching up with my friend Keren Baker from my Stampin' Up days, she is an absolute hoot and one of the most gorgeous ladies I've ever met.  She had a long drive  from Liverpool to Bournemouth so I offered her a stop over, making her journey a little easier.  It was so nice to have her here, I loved cooking for her and giving her just a little break from her "norm"!

I took her for a walk by the river Thames and showed her around our little town, the weather was perfect for our little adventure.  She did make me laugh though, when she saw what flowers we had in our town gardens.....which I'm sure she'll share on her blog.

Tomorrow I'm off to see my mate Peg, I can't believe that I'm seeing both my favourite ladies from my Stampin' Up days in one week - yippee!!!  So before I go off for my skive, I thought I'd catch up with a couple of cards, you know the ones - the one's I've been far too busy to make ;)!

Here is the first.....

....a new baby card.  It's for a lady I watched grow up, I even baby sat for her once and now I'm making her a new baby card.  Just in case you think I've made a stamping error, the teddy on the shelf is jumping for joy at the thought of a new baby to be cuddled by!

I used all Stampin' Up products, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand, That's the Ticket & Little Additions.

Now I have That's the Ticket stamp set out on my desk, I might just make another, very important card!

Happy crafting.
