New Home Card

I'm off walking this morning around Farmoor reservoir with my lovely friend Suzy, who has just moved to a house very close to it.  I actually made her this card when Audrey was over the other day but it was unfinished as I couldn't find my "new home" stamp!

After the class yesterday over at On-line card classes and whilst my alphabet stamps were out I thought I'd add the "new home" sentiment using those.  I also got brave and hand wrote "new"!

I've had the image of the house for a very long time, it was a digi download (sorry can't remember from where) which I coloured using my Copic markers.  The papers are from a huge stack of dots from MME (I think)!

Stamping with alphabet stamps

I was just too busy and didn't have time to play with what I learned (inspired to create) from yesterday's lesson over at Stretch your stamps so I wasn't going to allow myself to go to bed until I'd created something from what I learned today!

I was delighted to be inspired to make these two little thank you notes......

It was my birthday recently and I'd made most of my thank you notes but needed to make a couple more and was really inspired to make personalised ones after the lesson today.

Graduation card

One of my very lovely friends has a granddaughter who will be graduating from university next week and I thought I'd make a card for the occasion.  I've actually written the card to the grandmother, mother and granddaughter as I haven't actually met the young lady herself and I think it is nice for her mum and grandma to be able to take just a little credit!

This is another swing card, but I do love 'em.......

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the card and 2012 mortar board and the paper and card stock is from Stampin' Up.

For Naomi

My lovely new friend/customer, Audrey Sharp popped over this morning.  She has just started scrapbooking and wanted to make a card for her granddaughter Naomi, who has been quite unwell and wanted a lesson on where to start making a card.

I taught her all about finding a "map" or what is known in the business as a layout, finding an image as a focal point and then copying - it really is as easy as that.

I found a card I made a few months ago and we used that as our map and this is the card that she made from   the inspiration given..........

We used lovely bright papers from MME dots collection (I think) together with one of my favourite images from the Gorjuss collection called "Goruss - sitting".  The sentiment came from the stamp set from Stampin' Up called "You are Loved".  It was a total joy to me to see Audrey making this card for her Granddaughter, I hope they will both be pleased.

Olympic Torch Relay - Abingdon

Morning,

The Olympic Torch came through Abingdon early this morning, it was really nice to see so many people up early lining the streets.  I got this photo of Gerald Anderson carrying the torch.  It's not a great photo as I was being made aware that I was blocking the BBC camera, which was on the back of the bus leading him! - Whoops, I hadn't a clue, hope all watching on the internet and the BBC enjoyed seeing the back of me!
