Stretch your Stamps - Day 8

I've been working on the layout that I am going to be showing at my Abingdon Crop this weekend.  I found additional inspiration yesterday when we were taught about using label stamps.  The background label, cut out using my Silhouette Cameo, is a scanned in image of a stamp (which I learned from this great class).  The sentiment I have used on top says: "Find JOY in Simple Things" and is from a set I bought recently from Hero Arts called "Things (4)".

The inspiration for the layout came from scrapbook generation.

I've got day 9 of Stretch your stamps to try now, so I'd better get on and craft some more!

Stretch your stamps days 6 & 8

As I'm a little behind, I thought I'd cheat a little and make one card using two ideas I've learned in the class.

On day 6 one of the ideas was to use one of the very popular stamp and die cut sets and today was all about using our label stamps.

Here is my card...........

I used my new Sizzix and Hero Arts set called Butterflies #3 and partially die cut the butterfly in the left hand side.  The label stamp is one I've had for a long time from Stampin' Up and had never used it, from a set called Tagtastic.  I stamped it with Versamark and then dabbed some chalk on to colour it.  The sentiment is also from Stampin' Up from a set called Silhouette Sentiments.

Day 7 - Stretch your Stamps, daisies for you.....

Sorry I've been missing from class for a day or two but I will try and catch up.  It's all go here with my busy life!
This is a very quick card that I've made just to try a new technique which I've learned from this fabulous class!

I have had the stamp for years and years and years!  I used it in the first ever class I taught at Millets Farm  about ten years ago!  The stamp is very solid, the wood is extremely chunky and the stamp itself is hand cut, it has taken me back - lol!!!

Stretch your Stamps Day 4

Today's class is all about using graphic stamps.  I must have at least three thousand stamps around here, all over the place, but couldn't find any clear graphic style stamps amongst the ones I could get at!!!  I did find a very old  Hero Arts Harlequin Pattern Block stamp, which is wood mounted which did make my task more difficult, but at least I've managed to make a card using it.

I used the Harlequin Pattern with white Stazon ink to make the acetate overlay.  I'm still using the same dotty pattern papers that are out on my work space and that lovely kraft card stock I bought at the Newbury craft show last weekend.  The sentiment comes from an American Crafts clear stamp set collection called "Thanks".  The little diamond jewels are from Stampin' Up.
